The first thing you need to master is grounding & centering read more about it here...

Practice meditation every day, try starting out with 5 minutes of quiet time to yourself, every day try to make it one minute longer until you work you way up to 20 minutes a day. It can be any type of meditation, Zen Meditation, Mantra meditation, Transcendental Meditation, moving meditation ( Like Qui Gong or Tai Chi) or it could just be sitting in a half lotus focusing on your breathing being slow & deep...

learn the main tools of the craft, gather them, learn how to pronounce their names properly, learn what element each tool corresponds with, and write a consecration ritual for each one

Next step is to learn the Wheel of the year what each of the 8 Sabbats are what their symbols are, again learn correct pronunciation. Which are the "high Sabbats" & which are the "low Sabbats” you learn the wheel of the year by practicing it, meaning it will take you at least a year to understand the significance of each sabbat.

Learn basic ritual etiquette and ethics of magic & spell work

Attend open circles in your area, take a "wicca 101" course, Join a wiccan book club or reading group. Check the bulletin boards at your local co-op or health food store, new age book store, Unitarian church etc. Be aware that if you are under the age of 18 you may not be permitted without a parent or legal guardian. Networking is essential to real learning, find someone who is willing to be your mentor, or find a group that is accepting new coveners, follow their training, see how you like it. If it doesn't suit you, tie up all loose ends neatly & move along, Please don't just ditch your coven without letting them know that you are not interested in working with them any longer (which goes back to the etiquette)

Learn the lunar cycle and know what times of the moon are best for what types of energy work (will-working aka magic) it may even be helpful to pick up a witches almanac to learn the names and correspondences of each of the moons to add extra oomph to your workings

Learn how to read the chart of planetary hours, as this is exceedingly helpful in planning ritual & spell work....

MOST IMPORTANT! KEEP VERY SPECIFIC RECORDS of your journey. Write down everything that you learned and this is the beginning of your personal Book Of Shadows

That covers about the first year of study.

I suggest reading “Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner” by Scott Cunningham. It gives you a understanding of the wiccan religion and gives you the basics of practicing magic and the use of herbs.

This has information on various pagan traditions including websites and books for further study.

I'd recommend reading "To Ride a Magic Broomstick" by Silver Raven Wolf. It is a really good comprehensive book for beginners. Very easy to read, written in a very frank, open and non-judgemental manner and is full of all the basics and knowledge a novice needs to know. Most importantly it is very easy to follow as well.

Good luck with your training :-)

Merry meet and merry part

Dear, Wicca is best learned within a coven of sisters and brothers. If you don't have your wiccan family you'll struggle. Join a coven that appeals to you. Type in coven symbols into yahoo image and pick the fist one that you see. It's destiny for that. I and with an elite group of sisters who have superiority(as an elder) over the senses. Voodoo princess i am and still devote myself to Wicca. Look within to find your true path, your heart will lead you straight.
Blessed Be.

The FIRST thing you need to do is to test your trainer and make sure they know what the hell they are talking about. Make them divine something unique (like what did you put in a box that is next to your bed now). If they can't, and most can't, then they have nothing to teach you.

Here's some help...realize that you don't need any ritual to get in touch with your spirituality or with your creator. You just need faith.
