im in eigth grade and we have to do a talk show how do i make more interesting and cooler. i dont know how to edit or anything though. just putting in on the camcorder and connect it to the t.v were also gonna have some bloobers to.

Have your guests be known live & dead celebrities...from different decades & centuries...
Like you could mix together Elvis Presley, George Washington, The Pope, & Cher...

Cover ideas that people don't expect... like politics or socialism. A good topic that would keep everyone's attention is "CLASS SEGREGATION", i.e. rich kids hanging out with rich kids and poor kids hanging out with poor kids. Interview a couple of them, maybe even some school rivals for added tension on TV.
Also, pay attention to lighting and your set. Make it plain, if it is too busy then people will look at the background and not listen to your words. Best of luck.

make it funny, like joking around. i made many videos for classes and people only respond well if they think it's funny! we would always have fake alcohol drinks in the video (apple juice of course!). and you can make the fact that you aren't editing it a cool thing... some things are better/funnier that way. for example, whenever i made videos, we made credits to go at the end, just written on paper and held in front of the camera (one name on one piece of paper) with music playing in the background, and they were always joke ones like 'weird guy' or something, and it was funny because it was so basic.

Violence is always interesting. Get some theatrical slap sticks and then have a serious forum and then have a secret word. When someone says it, everyone else jumps up and starts hitting the person with the slapsticks!

it depends if you are going to have a real, serious talk show or a spoof of a talk show. if your in the eighth i think the directions you should go in is to spoof a talk show and make it funny and outrages.
