A normal (meaning 1.4MB floppy disk) can hold 327KB.

I think you ask that because the PC gives you an error on trying that. Note: floppies are extremely unreliable! Go for a USB-flash drive. Faster and way more reliable.
With a special little program (not DMF), up to approx. 1.7MB are able to fit on a 1.4MB floppy. I forgot it's software name...

yes, if you purchase a floppy with enugh space, or compress the file using zip / rar.
