Yes, I beleive spirits are everywhere. I beleive in mediums, and I beleive in a real lot of stuff. People may disagree, but I beleive that everyone is watched by a spirit. I beleive I am watched by my younger sister, and she helps guide me.
Mediums are out there. And they keep it quiet, but some don't. I have met one actually, and she is a pretty nice person. She has been through tough times, but she sticks it out.

Wow... I feel compelled to answer, though I also feel like an outsider, here. Other than ksjazzguitar and maybe Companion Wulf, I don't know if anyone shares my feelings. In fact, I'd be quite concerned about the world if these answers and the question were under, say, science, and not mythology & folklore.
To put it simply, no I don't believe in most things that are called supernatural. (I don't *disbelieve* all of them; just have a healthy skepticism. Maybe my user name fits my attitude -- question everything.)
When I posted a related question, recently, someone wrongly assumed I was closed-minded simply because I asked, essentially, where the evidence was. If we can't ask questions, how are we ever to find answers? And if we readily assume we know what every bump in the night... every murky image in a photo, and every "reading" means, how can we ever feel confident that we believe in something real?
I, for one, cannot get excited and passionate about something which could be no more than my imagination or misinterpretation. No matter how much I might want to believe something, it doesn't feel good to believe if I haven't thought about it very carefully, and seen strong evidence.
The truth is, I am *very* open-minded. I'd go so far as to say I'm more so than many of the people who believe, without question, in psychics, spirits, mediums, horoscopes, numerology, witchcraft, flying saucers, evil in playing music backwards, a face on Mars, a moon landing "hoax"... and on and on and on...! It makes my head spin -- oh, THAT MUST MEAN I'M POSSESSED!
I greatly respect others' feelings, and I accept possibilities which many people would reject quickly and confidently. But I have an unswerving dedication to the rigors of science, and to careful reasoning, because I respect the truth, and that's how the truth is divined--if you'll pardon the pun. As the late *great* Carl Sagan said, "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."
Forgive me if I don't *see* that evidence, or even reasonable arguments, for the topics I named above--and many others. Some are outrageous and ridiculous, while others are simply unsubstantiated enough for me to reserve judgement... a reasonable position, in my opinion.
If more people thought so reasonably about ideas others try to feed them, the world would have far fewer problems. There's something to be said for holding on to beliefs which make you feel good. But that should never be at the expense of letting go of the truth.
I will be the first to admit that I, too, believe in a thing or two which have so far eluded proof. I strongly believe, for example, in abundant life on other worlds. But that *is* a bit more difficult to examine than some of the absurd claims made about the paranormal, over the centuries. Most of those ideas were understandable at one time--when knowledge of the world was very young, and fear and puzzlement, common. Not anymore.
Even when generations of scientists have shown no *good* evidence, people go on believing... either because they haven't researched their pet topic enough (or have been reading poorly reasoned sources), or because their emotions rule over reason--they *want* to believe, no matter how flimsy the evidence. But if one is brave and genuinely seeks the truth, they will put their beliefs to real tests.
My problem isn't in accepting that people have experienced things--sometimes bizarre and unusual things!--but with the sloppy leap from observation to conclusion.
Let me add that I would be *excited* to find there's scientific proof of some of these paranormal/supernatural phenomena!... extraterrestrials landing here on earth three or four times a month (to listen to some people)... being able to move my car keys across the room with P-K... reading the cute girl's mind... etc. I have no *desire* to disbelieve these things! It's not due to some personal bias or agenda that I disbelieve; I choose to follow the hard evidence, so as not to delude myself.
One has only to look at the warped beliefs of terrorist Muslim extremists to see the potential danger in uncritical thinking, blind acceptance of easy answers, and interpreting things your way.

I do believe in all of the above. Too bad science hasn't been able to prove most of it. I think there are many many people out there who claim to be something they're not, but if you are into ghosts and the paranormal I would recommend watching the reality T.V. show "Ghost Hunters". I really get a kick out of that show because they don't go into it trying to prove a haunting, but to try to disprove it. Episode 213 (13 of season two) is one of the best as far as I'm concerned for ghosts, and mediums. Check out their website for more info.

I always have my great grandmother was a tarot card reader...I never so much believed in them until I bought my own set and they are always right....The first time I did it I did not like the outcaome so I shuffled them three times and then re dealt them...the same cards were laid out and I will never not believe them again...I went to a psychic last year and she seemed to know an awful lot about me and I was very cautious not to let on to anything, not to have anythign on me to give her any clues, me and a friend both went together and we agreed not to discuss anything personal in front of her....By the time we left we knew she was for real......we are going back this month....

Yes...I am a spiritual medium. I have done it for 5 years now and love it. I get messages for other people and pass them on. 90% of the people I have done a reading on are people I don't even know, but yet I can tell them about a spirit on the other side that has a message for them. They are all around us and just want us to recognize them.

I believe that *something* is there, though in most cases it can be disproven. I've spent a long time studying the paranormal and a lot of the "supernatural stuff" can be attributed to nothing more mundane than mental or energetic sources. I've had my share of "things that go bump in the night", including incidences of "premonition", "psychic insight" and "OBP"...Why not check my website out and decide for yourself?

No.
It is amazing that in all this time, they haven't produced a statistically significant result in a double blind randomized experiment. The only experiments they are good at are the ones with bad protocols. Heck, I can prove that cheese cause you to win at chess if I use bad testing protocols.

I love that stuff, but not everyone takes it seriously. I think there are a lot of frauds like certain physics. But I think there is a lot of truth to it.
