I don't know how to dress cool like the other employees, plus I don't have a lot of money to spend on clothing...I was hired because I have good experience and dressed nicely, but the manager might think im a fashion horse guy but im not at all. Help me fashion people! The store buckle is also so expensive and im the kind of guy who prefers to spend my money on other stuff.

well first of all I love Buckle clothing. It is a nice place.Fashion is sth inside ur feeling, not just one style, and not the style that the most of the ppl r wearing right now! If u r hired by buckle and they hire u is because that u have very good experience, that is not bad. U don't have a lot of money to buy fashion clothing doesn't means that u r not a fashion guy.Fashion is not defined by how much money u spend on those "fashion things",u need not to make urself looks like a funky guy, just dressed as nicely as when u go to interviewed this job! u r a staff of the store not a model. the things u need to do well is just always freindly and smile to the customer u meet(I think u have more experience in this field than me),and when the customer want ur opinion, tell them honestly and if u don't think that is good, introduce what is the good tie in that u thought to them.that's all and it is easy!
Besides, u r hired by Buckle store, that means the supervisor, the manager of u have much confidence to u that u can do well in this job so why don't u! Be more confidence! don't care about what or how nice the other emploree dressed, u just dressed neat that is ok,why a good staff can be a good staff it is because how much clothes he sold but not how well he dressed!trust me, every thing is fine!and if u really think that u r not as fashion as other staff and u want to, then watch more fashion show and read more fashion mag it is so easy to be fashion not that hard than u thought.
anyway I believe u and good luck!

It's easy. I am going to make your life easy. Do you have a local Good Will? You can buy some vintage looking graphic tshirts and older jeans. You can buy several outfits and spend nothing. I would invest in a new belt and shoes that you like. If you get a discount, Buckle is perfect. Some messy hair and cologne, and you are set. If you need some dressy sweaters or other clothes, I get some great designer clothes from this sight, great prices. www.smartbargains.com. TJMaxx and Burlington Coat Factory are also pretty good. Look at staple pieces and build on that. Make sure you spend your money on what YOU want. A great hair style will allow for a lot of leniency. Best of luck.

Sorry Dude, You Can't Have You Pie And Eat It Too, Your Going To Have To Walk The Walk Aswell If You Want To Stay In the Fasion Industry Even For More Than A Month.

Don't You Get A Big Store Discount As An Employee?
If Not Don't Worry, Your Boss Can't do Anything As Long As You Keep Dressing As Good As You Did In The Interview.

I LOVE the Buckle. I'm sure you get a discount. Save your $$ and get a few good pieces that you can mix and match. Since it is mostly jeans, one pair of darker blue and one pair of lighter blue would be all you would need. Then get a couple of their collared shirts and put your own t-shirts underneath. You can get at least 4 different outfits out of this combo. Push up your sleeves, on one day then not on another. Wear comfortable shoes that look something like what they sell. As long as you know the merchandise and treat the customer well your manager will be pleased. The Buckle takes a lot of pride in their customer service and the knowledge of their staff. You will learn how to be fashion savvy just by working there. Good luck!

Congratulations Mikey! Ok so here is my advice, work with what you have for now and when you get some money like, soon hit a t.j max or some random store that sells name brand clothing for less. Buy like 3or4 pairs of jeans 5 shirts some long sleeved some short and one pair of cool shoes to go with all that. You should be all set if you build on it. You can pick up a few odds and ends at a thrift store too. That works sometimes.

Are you expected to wear buckle clothes? If you are and can't afford a whole outfit, invest in a sweatshirt or jacket form the store. Wear it with a t-shirt and jeans you already have- no one will notice the shirt and jeans aren't from the store, and you'll look stylish (it's a pretty easy look to do). Watch what the other employees and mannequins are wearing- until you figure out your own style, follow their lead. After a while, you'll figure out what you like to wear, what looks good on you, and what the trends are.

Go with what you think looks nice in Buckle. Shop at the clearance section, you can get some really nice stuff at a bargain price. Or when you are purchasing clothes go with a budget. I usually go with a $25 budget when shoping at expensive stores. A nice shirt for $6 you can't go wrong.

Look at how they dress the maniquins and go from there. It's not as hard as you are making it. As far as I can see, nowadays, anything goes..and who knows you might start a new trend!
