2996 dead on 9/11, 5 years later 2639 in Iraq?

When will President Bush stop this madness? Will he stop it before the death count exceeds those killed on 9/11?

I wish that one of us have the answer to your question. but all we can do is pray to God and hope that this madness stops one day. I really don't see what people get out of killing each other in the name of religion. Its not like that we don't have enough people dying already with natural disasters and diseases. once again lets just have faith in "God" and whatever we believe in and Pray for those who are dying and who are fighting for U.S.

The death toll has already exceeded the amount of 9/11. There are many they can not account for and only God knows when they will be. There are the loss of more than Americans also but I support our troops and all those before them. I pray for peace and I don't have a clue what the Bush man has done or is thinking of doing they don't let us know everything that's going on that's for sure.

Americans don't understand their own denial

I expect the hysterical cries of "The Muslims are coming! The Muslims are coming!" Have you learned nothing about the world? Can you not see the obvious manipulations of the U.S.-U.K. intelligence community in these bogus "terror alerts"?

Gee, whadda ya know, it's time for a midterm election and George Bush has a 30% approval rating --- and here come the Muslim hordes because they "hate our freedoms"!

Grow up. The American government spends over $500 billion a year on defense, over $60 billion a year on intelligence. That's more than the rest of the world combined. That sound you hear is not a billion Muslims strapping bombs to their chests. That sound you hear is the American military-intelligence complex prodding the stupid citizens who pay for it. They've got plans for martial law in America, and you people are prattling on about Islamofascism.

Many Americans find the government's message much more reassuring than the actual facts. The government's message is: "America is virtuous. Virtuous America was attacked by evil terrorists. America is protecting itself by going to war and overthrowing regimes that sponsor or give shelter to terrorists, erecting in their place democracies loyal to America."

Sugarcoated propaganda doesn't present Americans with the emotional and mental stress associated with the hard facts.

In National Socialist Germany, by the time propaganda lost its grip, Germans were in the hands of a police state. It was too late to take corrective measures. Not even the military could correct the disastrous policies of the executive. In the end, Germany was destroyed. Does a similar fate await Americans?

The first 9/11 was an inside job. The next one -- probably in the next two months, just in time for the elections -- will also be made in America. Open your eyes and see the real enemy.

For the Americans that answered, each of you are entitled to his/her own opinion. The Constitution and the men and women that serve our country give you that right.

Makes no difference if I agree with you or not. I'm entitled the same as you. And I once served in our military and President Bush's father was President.

I ask you two things....
1) Always support the troops. Thankfully no one disrespected our protectors.

2) I don't like the war anymore than the majority of you but......
I would rather fight the bastards over there then to experience another attack in our homeland.

As far as the foreigners that responded, I suppose you are entitled to your opinions, seeing that I don't know where you are from and don't know about your constitution. So therefor, your opinions really hold no merit with me.

Blame for what? 9-11? Terrorists are to blame for 9-11. all and sundry is human, people make blunders. If the administrative.is petrified of offending the international merely about all those issues will shop going on. somebody has to stand as much as the bully terrorists or they're going to shop terrorizing the international. how are you able to assert no progression has been made? The electorate in Iraq are loose from the terrible Hitler like rule of Saddam. they are lots happier and the U. S. is assisting to rebuild their united states of america. definite, there are nonetheless issues besides the indisputable fact that it takes time. those human beings have been scuffling with among themselves for 1000's of years. we won't be able to believe any government for our risk-free practices. we can purely believe in God. If we turn far off from God, we are doomed.

and for your knowledge Muslims consider the Donner for 9/11 are out of Islam coz it isn't acceptable in their religion

Your logic makes no sense. By late 1942 the U.S. had killed more Japanese than the Japanese had killed at Pearl Harbor. At that point did the war against Japan become wrong? If you're opposed to the war in Iraq, then so be it, but the power of a nation to kill doesn't make their reason for war right or wrong.

You're correct. And out of those 2639 people who died in Iraq none of them died bringing the 9/11 planners to justice as they weren't even Iraqi.
