Ladies, you're looking through a fashion magazine, maybe it's Elle, Cosmo, Jane, etc, and you see the likes of Angelina Jolie or Kate Moss, sporting a plastic rain bonnet.. I remember my older sister, in the 70's, owning one, and not thinking twice about using one.. over the years, it seems it's been mostly women over 50 who use them. Would you be influenced by these fashionable
women, or would you just dismiss it??

Well... is this a figurative question? Are you using the rain bonnet as an example or do you genuinely mean a rain bonnet? Because if so, I doubt it. I'd probably think to myself 'damn, how does Kate Moss even manage to look hot in that stupid hat...?' and then move on. However, I think sometimes we see things that look ridiculous but then start gradually to work their way into the fashion stream - i.e. ponchos - what was with that, dude?
And, I don't think we should diss the rain bonnet... give it a few years and it'll be the hottest thing - what goes around comes around. :)
So, basically, in conclusion, I'd probably dismiss it... and then possibly (!) if it did make the fashion bandwagon, I'd consider (note the 'consider') it - but only if it suited me, if it didn't, wouldn't buy it and would continue to laugh at people who aren't Kate Moss and look like right muppets.

I wouldn't wear a rain bonnet unless I'd just spent a bunch of money at the salon for a special hairdo. Which is probably why they wore them too. In that case, whatever I've got works! Today's trend is tomorrow's embarassing fashion moment, so don't wear what you don't like!

Absolutely not!!! I get all of those magazines and for the most part I look at them and think what the heck are they thinking with some of that stuff!! Really, people think that if you dress a celebrity up in that crap then they are more likely to buy it and everyone makes more money. If I were you I would just dismiss it.

it depends how you carry the particular fashion "Plastic Rain Bonnet"--- Older ladies used them because it seems to be easy and comfortable specialy if it is not raining that much and they just need to get in and out of their car. well for me i won't even try it cause it is just not me, i dont even care if i get wet so in short not for me maybe for somebody else like the ladies in "sex in the city" definetly they can handle that...so it depends(i guess)
