They have done this so they can spy on how much rubbish we throw out and they can also use this to tell exactly what we are buying.

I think it should be illegal to put chips in the bin. They stink after a day or two.
Don't be silly. The chip weighs the bin so they can see if it's viable to charge more for the service.

Apparently they chip the bins so that they can keep track of the weight of rubbish from each individual house, maybe they will start to charge us by amount of rubbish in the future a scary thought.

Don't throw out garbage.
Papers you use to start your fires. Green stuff goes in the compose pile. Cans are recycled as is everything else.
No garbage!
