What is the only quadrant which contains no points of the graph of y = x^2 - 8x + 14 ?

The graph is a parabola which opens up, so it will have to go through the 1st and 2nd quadrants. It's vertex is at (4 , -2) so it has to go into the 4th quadrant, so it doesn't go throught the 3rd.

Note: At x = 0, it is going through the point (0,14) which is well away from the 3rd quadrant.
