How can I watch cable TV on my laptop?

I have a cable connection in my room, but no TV. Is there any way I can connect my laptop to the cable outlet and watch TV on my computer?

Like someone already said, a TV Tuner Card is needed.

I have on of these TV Tuners insalled in my desktop computer at work and I am able to make the TV screen window small so I can watch the morning News or daytime TV while working.

You need a tv tuner card/video graphics card. I'd suggest getting one from the ATI company.
