this answer is for Phil r with 10+ years experience in the profession...when you visit your son in jail ask him to show you a copy of the warrant

You would need to contact the court that issued the warrant to determine what the warrant was issued for. In most states, a warrant issued in any part of the state is valid for an arrest, (althouth depending on the situation, they also may allow your son to post bond). If it is a felony charge, then the warrant is valid in all 50 states and in many foreign countries.

I suggest that you consult with an attorney licensed in your state. If you don't have an attorney and need one, contact your local or state bar association for a referral.
