It's happened to me. We're not finely tuned machines! Personally, I wouldn't be too concerned (she can always check with her doc) but I think this is a pretty common thing. Could be stress. Is she exercising more? I don't know how old your fiance is (I suppose pretty young) but when I hit about 35 this happened to me a lot. I'm sure somebody else has a better answer and lots of medical info; I just don't think it's cause for alarm.

Although a typical cycle is from about 28 days many situations can cause a period to come earlier: Hormonal changes, stress, medications, and; this may sound funny but sometimes seasonal changes as well as travel, when the body tries to readjust to a change in climate and or latitude/altitude

Stress can wreak havoc on a woman's cycle and not all bleeding is a period. If it's midcycle, it could be a sign of ovulation (though that would more typically just be spotting.)

periods are odd things. sometimes they change their timing. stress can cause them to be delayed or to be recurring quickly. are you putting stress on her about sex and her period? chill out and know if she's using her period to not have sex with you then the problem is more than a period. quit stressing her out
