For a private answer:
Click on their name in the reply, then click on the link reading "Contact
That's if their profile is set up for people to send them messages. Some people block themselves from receiving messages.
Yahoo! gives you 1500 characters in the body of the message, which is enough for a simply reply. If you want to carry it further, see if the person you're communicating with wants to exchange email addresses in private.
When you click Send, Yahoo! Answers forwards your message to the other person's registered email account. Your own email is hidden and so is theirs.
I've just sent you a response using this mechanism, so you'll be able to see what it looks like. The person who receives your reply will be able to answer you as well, so it can be a conversation if it becomes necessary.
For a public reply:
You can edit your question after posting it, and Yahoo! Answers includes a little header indicating that you added something later. So if one of your answers misinterprets something you said, you can clarify it, or you can thank them for their kindness, or you can add an "LOL" to a specific answer, or whatever you like.

I too have no idea of what you really want to do! but, if thats the case, here's I have for you.
evaluate his/her answer, click on their displayed profile, and probably from there, you'll find an e mail adds. compose your reply and send! if that doesn't work, you can add comment to your question and they probably frequent to their posted answers and there's a big chance they will read any further comments from you. so there are two ways on how you can be able to contact your correspondence. it would just take sometimes to get it, so be patient ok?

You can't. If you give them best answer you can leave them a note but most people don't won't to be contacted for a reason and this site isn't really for chatting other then on the subject of the question. SO unless they have a contact link on their profile you can't get in touch with them.

click on the avatar and you should see contact details..email or Instant messeger....most dont leave the info but if so...then it will let you
