You probably have some kind of foot fungus that is causing the odor.
You can get a small bottle of Tea Tree Oil at Wal-Mart, and soak your feet in water with a few drops of the Tea tree oil - the oil will kill the fungus.
IT's five dollars at walmart in the vitamin section - small brown bottle.

after washing them thoroughly...use pure (not the fake stuff) oil of peppermint on them...do this everyday it should help...now if the odor is coming from sweaty feet you will need to try some of those over the counter powders for feet that help with sweating

I always put baby powder in my shoes and boots. A friend of mine said that her son was told by their doctor to pee on his feet in the shower. Sounds gross but she swore that it worked.

put oder eaters in your shoes and sometimes wear flip flops to air them out. also wear cotton socks. that should do the trick.

wash your shoes in the washer,,if they are tennis shoes..then when they are done air drying put baby powder in them and then wash your feet really good..they make insoles that have odder eaters in them..try them...

wash, dry them well, give your shoes time so air out and dry properly, maybe use spray deodorant or foot powder on them

me and my sister had the same problem! we bough this foot stuff at walmart called 'barefoot' shaped in a tube like a foot!! it works wonders. you might enjoy it!

Baby powder... rub your feet with it and sprinkle it in your shoes.
