I checked the fuse and it was not the fuse. Then I noticed it came on real quick for like a second or two when I tested it two different times in the past two days, what could it be?

I did not think it would/could be the actual bulbs because I wouldn't think they'd all go out at once. So I did not check the bulbs themselves. But when I have the signal rod-switch in the position where the signals should be on, neither the right or left signals works.

Thanks for the answers thus far, I'm going to have to go check the flasher situation and see if that is it. and then I guess the bulbs... those things I can do, but if it's a ground or column situation I guess I'm going to have to "take it in".
If anybody has any other ideas let me know....again thanks...

Something strange happened I went out and the signals appeared to work. Well I don't know it's odd..... And I am not halucinating, I had my dad witness the situation... I say this like this b/c people often wish to say that I am "tripping out on drugs or something...when I speak about clones or something...so as to say... well I hope that all is ok and it won't "conk out" again is it "conk" or is it "konk"? But i am going to let the question go to vote, because well... there is not right or wrong answer here ...all of you put in your thoughts on possible problems and well I just want to say THANKS, truly it shows a 'sign" of man working together to come up with solutions.... it shows a sign of truth amoungst ourselves...it shows something to me, it provides a road of hope to be envisioned.

it could be flasher. I think that is what it is called it also in the fuse box most of the time. In older cars it looked like a little silver square and said flasher on it

The first thing to check is the bulbs. The easy way to do this is turn on the 4 way (hazard) flashers and see if they work. If one or more bulbs are bad, replace them.

If the bulbs are good, the problem is most likely either in the flasher unit or in the steering column switch. Check the flasher unit, by switching it with the flasher for the hazard lights. If the turn signals work with the replacement flasher, you have solved your problem. If not, look for a loose ground wire in the trunk, or a problem in the column!

Have someone check the flasher relay [most of the time located up under the drivers side dash area]

If the brake lights and emergency flashers work, it is the Column switch.

Check fuses, bulbs, and flashers. Check your connections.

it's the flasher, locted somewhere on the fuse box. there probably are two, one for turn-signals and one for four-way flashers.

for $50 a mechanic can eliminate bad choices, it would cost more to just keep replacing parts
