Normally it takes several tools to completely eliminate popups. Start with a browser that includes popup protection, such as a recent version of Internet Explorer or Firefox. You may want to add a toolbar to the mix (such as the Google Toolbar) for greater popup protection.

Finally, it is quite possible that your computer has become infected with spyware/viruses which will send you popups regardless of how many blockers you have. If this is the case, you need to get some good antivirus software http://free.grisoft.com as well as some anti-spyware software http://www.webroot.com and adaware.

its actually very hard to get of them all as the program trying to block has to decide is the winodw being opened a window which you want opened ie new content or is it a pop which you hadn't asked for. They generally try to determine this by looking at the dimensions of the of window to be launched and if it is within certain size limits it will block otherwise it will let it through.

Not perfect but how does a program no what is or isn't wanted. It can only make a guess.

There is only one way to get rid of all pop ups. That is to get rid of your pc. There are many ways to do this. But i will tell you my favorites. I want you to take the top off of your tower and move it to the center of the room. After that is done i want you to get 2 things a hammer and a bucket of water. After you have done that i want you to start smashing the pc up. Leaving it all together then you must pick it up and drop it into the water. You will get rid of your pc and you will get a free fireworks show.

Do you have virus protection software, most will allow it as an option. Norton Internet Security and System Works have this feature, when on sale they are both free after rebates. Windows XP also has it in the security control panel

Then use Ubuntu or Mac.

Under Windows: if you WOULD be able to block ALL popups: many webpages (and some programs as well) won't be able to work properly anymore.
If you stick with Windows: i recommend Opera.

Get one of those AOL or off brand cds for internet service, (they usually are free). Go home install EVERYTHING. Every one of those cds i've seen has a free pop-up blocker on them. If you do not want the internet services, go to control panel... add/remove programs... then click on the AOL program or off brand program... remove... the pop-up blocker is still there so you will still have it... that is how I got mine and it works great!!! tell me how it works out.... bad_egg_2006@yahoo.com
