Except when I desperately need a Tech Support answer for a computer sitting dead in front of me, I hang up after two minutes.

For Tech Support my record was 45 minutes on the phone with Gateway as they tried to find anyone there who knew why two in-warranty desktop computers both were still not working after they sent a free motherboard replacement and free powersupply for each. That was in the days of "Dude you shoulda got a Dell" and everone in the building was saying that after those failures.

25 minutes...

This is a lot of info, lol, but my ex had me on hold for a while. He said he had to go take a dump, and I'm like okay, I'll just watch T.V while he's in there. I was sitting there watching T.V with the phone to my ear, totally forgot I was waiting for him. I realized I was still on hold, then I had to hang up on him, lol...

15-20 min and I had to wait due to the fact it was the government I was calling. You are lucky to even talk to a person there.

57 minutes with Bally Total Fitness!!! I was getting information about transferring my membership and i think they did it on purpose to discourage me from doing it - but i waited them out - thank goodness for speaker phone! I waited b/c i wanted to 'wait them out'!

45 minutes and I was on my cell phone too, but I was trying to get the results from a test I had taken for a license and I was dying to know if I had passed.

If it's business, I wait as long as I have to; personal, the person has exactly one minute to get back to me.
