Ha, ha, LLLLLL. I'm laughing cause I could hear it now.

Calm down; try to answer this spiritually rather than as a sexest person.

Don't forget there are some mothers that say, "Yeah, but my son's wife deserved it, she's a real b*tch." People can be provoked into hitting someone.

I feel the law has done a good job reducing domestic abuse; however, it still exist. also I seen women remain in abussive relationships without need to do so. And there are those who get another guy but it's for the same thing. In these cases either the woman likes that kind of attention or what? Even if she that poor at selecting, at the first sign of the same thing she should zoom out of the relationship.

Here's your chance to teach they should zoom out of the relationship never to return or get involved in anything like it. Or, she is part responsible for what happens.

And, guys, if you feel you have to hit them, it's better that you leave them and never return; that hurts them more.

There are many kinds of abuse and if she is abusing him to the point that he hits her then she is just as abusive as he is. Having said that he still should walk away cause it is never right to hit someone unless they are threatening your life. They both need counseling. Btw most police departments now recognize mental and verbal abuse as that and if it is bad enough that the man needs to hit her then it is a domestic violence situation and something should be done in order to get the abusive party professional help. Guys should not be afraid to get law enforcement to protect them too, especially since if they protect themselves in a physical way they could go to jail.

Does not matter what occured, no one has the right to lay a hand on another person, as for women choosing the wrong type of guys, no they don't like it, but in order to get out and get better they need to love and have faith in themselves. Or they have a good chance of picking the same. Comes from bagage from their past, low self worth, some even at some levels think they deserve it. no one does. And those who hit, do hit for a reason, they can't control themselves and when they feel out of control they act it out. So what happen to make them this way, could have been their bagage from the past. But we all have the final say in how we react and what we say. The goal for all of us should be to be better people and act better towards others.

God Bless, Ido

I have never heard so much garbage in my 62 yrs on this planet. Only very small men will hit a woman. It is a choice on both of their parts. Neither is excused from the choice they make. It is only common sense that two wrongs do not make a right. The people that do these things have not grown up yet. Verbal discourse should be dealt with just that verbal solutions.

Anyone, man or woman should be punished if they hit someone else regardless if the person hit was a man or woman also.

If the 'victim' provoked the incident, then there should be some mitigating circumstances and the law does provide for "heat of the moment" type defense arguments.

Kasar..it is totally wrong to hit a woman or children, the highest punishment should be meted out to those that do this--HOWEVER(and this makes me very annoyed!)M.E.N--G.E.T--H.I.T--T.O.O.---W.H.A.T. A.B.O.U.T. U.S.!?!Should we,as men, just take it?You talk of"zooming in-zoming out""better to do this, better to do that"-do you know the statistics with regards men being hit, punched, stabbed and kicked in violent and abusive relationships?,thought not-get some EQUAL facts about the abusive sexes before spouting off about womankind being the only victims,THEY ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES!!

I will agree that after a point, emotions do get the better of people. Also, some people are better at controlling emotions. So, it is entirely possible that a woman could provoke a man into hitting her. And while it isn't right for him to resort to violence, it's certainly equally wrong, if not worse, to treat the man as a violent criminal and the woman as a defenseless victim.

Yes you can push a person too far but the correct thing to do is walk away and return when you have calmed down. Why leave over a minor argument? We all have them and we all have days of short tempers.

No man will ever hit a woman maybe some one playing at being a man will but fact is a man can defend himself a woman can not.she may hit him back but I don,t think she will do him any harm.
A woman who will put up with being hit by a man is a fool and her life will be hell as long as she stays with this person.

All I can say is..... If a man provokes a woman into hitting him (or stabbing or shooting) should she be punished. In fact it has happened many times and many times the wife was considered 'menally unfit etc..' So, the question remains......

I agree with you, punishment is not nearly as important as the physical and emotional safety of the individuals involved.
