there are basically 4 practical ways of transferring data from your phone to the your computer..
1. BLUE-TOOTH : for this u need to get a blue-tooth dongle for Rs.250-Rs.300/- to be fitted to your computer. this dongle works for all blue-tooth enabled phones.so in all its the most feasible mode of transfer.all you have to do is to pair the two devices and u are ready to go.
2. INFRARED : for this method u will be needing a infrared enabled phone and an infrared receiver (prices
3. DATA-CABLE: this is a phone specific cable specially used for transferring data from your phone to your computer. a data cable usually costs around Rs.600 - Rs.900. the data transfer speed is lesser than using blue-tooth too..and moreover wires are a big hassle.
4. CARD READER : u can use this device to directly transfer data from your phone memory card to the computer. a card reader costs around a grand..but worth the cost as the transfer speed is actually fast..there are card readers in the market which can read different types of cards like MMC, Mini SD etc etc..highly recommended for data transfer..the only back draw is that u cant use this method for connecting to the net via the phone whereas using blue-tooth or infrared enables you to connect to the net as well..
so in all i guess buying a blue-tooth dongle would be the best for you..
hope it works out for you..
enjoy !!! :-)
