I sent two kids to college in the Sims 2. I moved them into a dorm with a few other students that the game created. The dorm had too many people for my computer to handle so I deleted it. I wanted to seperate my kids from the other kids and I deleted the "house" they were in which I assume is the same as a "family" in the regular neighborhood mode. Now I can't find my kids anywhere except for in my family tree. Are they gone forever? Any ideas? I don't think I tried calling on the phone, but I may have already. So, before you suggest that, any other ideas?

Ouch, I see your problem. No they are not gone forever. They are still in your game database.

What you may have to do is use SimPE to find your sim kids. I haven't duplicated what you have done but there is not an ingame method of recovering from this.

SimPE is the tool to use to fix up bungles like that. It is free and can be downloaded here:

See the site FAQ for more info on this powerful tool. You can also join their forum or one like http://www.modthesims2.com and then ask for more help on using the tool there.
