Over time, corsets will distort the natural shape of the body, like foot binding in China.

Corsets create the illusion of a small waist, they really do nothing to the body on a permanent basis unless worn for many years. Even taking the corset off at night prevents a lot of permanent damage. Older corsets were improperly fitted and did cause much damage. New ones are made better.

The art refers to training your body to wear a corset... you know, very very cinched at the waist.

It only takes 3 or 4 months to get your body like that, BUT it is very dangerous.

It crams all your internal organs into unnatural positons, affecting the way they all function, even your lungs and intestines. Also, it will deform your rib cage so you have to wear a corset for the rest of your life in order to sit/stand/walk upright. My grandma was 80, had worn a corset all her life, and I stll had to lace her up before she could even get out of bed.

Seriously think about this if it is what you want to do. It is FOR LIFE much like a tattoo. (Alot of websites don't tell you that, do they?)

But I have to say there is no harm wearing one once in a while, just don't overlace yourself. (I hold my breath in when they lace so I am guaranteed breathing room.)

It supposedly makes your waist smaller but you have to wear it for years and half of the women I've seen that have been "corseted" looked deformed. I say crunches and lat exercises are much easier and less painful.

soon as you take it off, the wobbily bits are released.
