When people ask questions or sometimes in their screennames on Yahoo! or MySpace people have cute little hearts and I was wondering how those were typed in.

Sorry about that typo. The question should read: What characters do people type to make the little hearts that appear with their text?

Thanks! I knew about the Alt key plus digits, but I didn't realize it went down into the single digits. I only have been using the Alt key with three digit numbers for symbols and letters at work. I have a chart that I found online printed at my desk, but it obviously does not cover all the fun stuff. :)

I believe you are thinking of the more than symbol (<, shift+the comma key), and 3. Which looks like this <3.

it's called UTF-8 coding. and it's done by pressing alt while punching certain characters on your number keypad like 0x12 for this character ♀. just tinker around with it and you'll find something you'll like.
