Because there are different things these days.
Have you been in the middle of rush hour in a big metro area? -- there's some real nutty people here. (I kid you not, I saw someone playing a guitar while he was driving on an interstate)
Climbing trees - That's changed to climbing something else - the corporate ladder?...
And last but not least, have you listened to the filth they throw out on the radio?

I can see that you never got to participate in the "Scared Straight" program.
My daughter is a prison guard and tells me that prisoners do these very things. Maybe it's the primal enviroment the are in. They definitly go Apesh*t when the female guards are around. They climb the cell bars and walls like monkeys and the do throw excrement at the guards.
Since this is about the same amount of evidence that Darwin used, then we must have decended from apes.
I do hope you recognize the sarcasm in the the above statement.

To be accurate, we didn't evolve from monkeys. Monkeys have tails, whereas apes (such as chimpanzees, gorillas and us) do not. Monkeys and apes both evolved from a common ancestor which existed quite a few million years ago. We don't behave like monkeys because we're not monkeys.

Just to point one thing out, we did not evolve from monkeys. Monkeys and humans are descendants of a common ancestor. LIke how breeds of dogs all are descendants of a common ancestor, the wolf.

we didnt evolve from monkeys
we did however share a common ancestor with monkeys and apes, afew million years back
millions of years of evolution is the answer to your question.. people arent capable of brachiating like monkeys anymore, our shoulders are no longer adapted for it... as for flailing excrement, how about bullets...? same general idea...

Find a dictionary and look up the word evolve. That might clear things up for you a bit.

You answered your own question....we "evolved" from monkeys. We are no longer monkeys. That is what we came from. You're so smart.

See 'evolution' is dictionary. lol, you know the funny part... even more so than world peace, the theme of monkeys flinging poo at one another, really brings people together lol.
