Anytime you are considering taking anything during pregnancy that your doctor hasn't already given you the ok for, it's best to call and ask them about it.
However, even after my doctor approved something I would still ask the pharmacist and check their answers against the results from the link below.
Good luck and I hope you feel better!

You should first ask your doctor - but until you ask the doctor try using saline spray. Even though it is not the same as nasal spray but it does help on loosen up your nose and helping you breath better. At least it does for me., so try it and remember to ask your doctor. Hope you feel better...

Yes it is fine. I would recomend nasonex. It works well. I have a stuffy nose all the time because something happened to me at a young age. I have used just about every nasal spray and I think Nasonex is the best.

in case you misuse Afrin, it's going to make your congestion worse. Prednisone pills at the instant are not often used for nasal congestion. There are topical steroids that are used for nasal congestion, i.e. Flonase, Nasacort, etc. you ought to use Afrin for greater beneficial than 4 days. next time you have congestion, use Sudafed using fact it would not reason rebound congestion.

If it's anything other than saline, you need to ask your doctor. The medicine is absorbed into your capillaries through your nose and can be passed to your baby. Your doctor will know how far along you are and what he or she can recommend. Your doctor might also have some suggestions for helping you to feel better without medication.
Feel better soon!

My doctor recommended straight saline, either something prepared (like Simply Saline mist) or a trip to the beach, lol.
Congestion is a normal part of pregnancy, so you may get used to it.

Most of them are unsafe. They have medicines that a pregnant woman shouldn't use. Saline is safe...but I don't think it will open you up much. Sudafed (single ingredient pseudoephedrine) is safe if used in moderation. Try a vaporizer.

Ask doc, but that stuff goes right into your blood, & that goes right into your baby...
Blow your nose a lot & ask the doc...
and I do sympathize, because I have allergies a lot of the year & was miserable during the worst time...
