after the final interview, she did not tell me if i passed it but had me filled up d background check. IFollow ups are not allowed. We will be notified in 2 weeks otherwise my application is unsuccessful. But I think they shud call me to say I passed the interview then they'll proceed w the background check

Has the potential employer contacted your references? That's a "back door" means on finding out. You'll also want to 'pre-warn' your references that 'so and so' may call because I've applied for a job at "Company X."

If they told you they'd let you know either way within two weeks, you are generally stuck waiting.

You could send a short note (paper or email) to thank them for the experience and highlight areas of the job that interest you most. Remind them of your best qualities, too.

As an HR Manager myself, I get very irritated when candidates call me even though I've told them when I'd get back to them. If they said follow ups aren't allowed, it's best to honor that rule.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Keep up the job hunting even though you are waiting to hear back.

why not give the manager a call to thank him for tthe interview and ask if he has madea final decision yet woulddn't hurt
