I have 2 dogs,,,,I was going to go with wood,,,but after seeing my friends floor with one dog,,,,I decided to go with travertine marble,,,,he has to sand his twice a year,,,,and personally,,,I wouldn't have any of the artificial crap

I wouldn't let an animal dictate what sort of floor I wanted. I would have wood floors and put non slip socks on the dog and a muzzle if he tends to chew. I love dogs, but I feel they should be outside not inside.

yes, dogs can scratch the hardwood floors. But, I think there is something you can mop the floor with that will not cause you to see the scratches made by the dog(s). Even homemade solutions can help minimize the look of wood floors.

Sometimes. Depends on whether or not they think there's something under there to dig up, or the dog's personality. Some will, some won't.
