I believe that people who are in a committed relationship should have the same recognition, regardless of whether they are the same sex or two different sexes. Personally, I think that marriage is an institution of the church, and even for "married" heterosexual couples, if what they have isn't a union by the church, it should all be a civil union, because I don't believe the government has any right to support or control "marriages."

As for those who argue that gay marriage is a threat to heterosexual marriage - Please explain? I have been married for seven years, and it doesn't affect my own marriage in any way for anyone else to be married - regardless of their sexual orientation.

I have nothing against it, but I don't think that they should have children...
Kids need a mom and dad, not two moms/dads...
But only marriage is fine with me!

I feel it's not my business who people want to spend the rest of their lives with, if it happens to be with someone of the same sex, then more power to them! May they live happily ever after!

I think that when two people love each other and decide to commit to each other for life, society ought to encourage that (monogamy), regardless of their sexual orientation.

I honestly don't have a problem with it. If two people love each other, then that's all that really matters.
