Deforestation and wildlife extinction.?

I am working on an assignment in which I need to identify at least two countries/regions in the world that those proplems and the setps they took to overcome them..successfully. And what steps they took.

look into Africa and China, i know that they have had major problems with poaching. Africa has "Wildlife Police" who watch for poachers. and i'm pretty sure China has at leas tried. but look into those two countries.
