Whenever I have to wash my daughter's Pooh Bear I put it in a pillow case and tie a knot. This is the safest way. Then I let it air dry. poor Pooh has been through a lot in his 7 years.

I have a teddy thats 19 years old I've had it since the day I was born I put it in the washer the other week and I had no problem with it! If your really worry about the washer ruining your teddy you could try hand washing them? Or just wiping them over with a cloth and then spray a little bit of febreze on them to freshen them up

Depends on the bear. A Gund you probably can machine wash, but why don't you try contacting the company and asking them.

Yes, I have machine washed stuffed animals before, it is more difficult to remove stains from white or light colored. So I would recommend hand washing the surface first then machine wash and don't put it in the dryer.

I have washed MANY stuffed animals. Be sure to put it on gentle, and make sure it is completely dry when you remove it from the dryer or it will mildew.
The dryer WILL ruin SOME fake furs (also whiskers, etc.). If you want to avoid the dryer, wait for a very hot day (or 2) and hang it outside (upside down if possible).

Most Gunds are machine washable/ gentle cycle. Checkout your Gund, as they are usually labeled well with instructions on care. DON'T PUT IN DRYER let it air dry.

I think so. My daughter has a stuffed kitty that goes in the washer and dryer. Good luck and I hope your son is feeling better!

You could proabably e-mail them or call them to find out for sure but my children's have been ok when I used the gentle cycle- and put the stuffed animal in a pillow case.
