Many years ago I was a girl in boarding school. My roommate was a young woman from Ireland. She has deep auburn hair and green eyes and the sound of her voice was like music. I don't mind saying now that I was in love with her. Completely. But I never could work up the courage to tell her. I just stayed in her orbit, soaking up her beauty, until one day I came back to our room and found that she was gone. A sudden family emergency had taken her out of school, and out of my life forever. I was devastated. I still am. I never really recovered from her loss, the loss of my dear Amanda. I live alone now with just a couple of cats. So typical of lost souls like me. But I still have her picture. A photo from our school days. I keep it on the mantle. I look at it on rainy days when the sky and I both need a good cry.

Yes. But unfortunately sometimes you can't find them.
My friend Camilla ,we meet in kindergarden and remain friends thru high school. But I went into the military and she married some guy. They moved away. And both of her parnets are gone.
