how can i copy just 1minute and 39 seconds of a song on to cd?

if its just a one off, download some music editing software, use its trial thing, have a play, cut your song and save it to your documents and copy as normal.

If that is your choice, I would recommend burning it as mp3 so that u can perform multisession to store more songs later.

download an audio editing software...cut it export it and burn it
