The actual piercing is not harmful. But anytime you cause a break in the skin, there's a risk of infection. You should have these piercings done by a qualified piercer, not some friend. A good piercing shop should look like a dentist's office. Very clean, certificates on the wall, autoclave machine...you get the idea.

And piercings are a lot of work to heal. A lot of work, and they take a long time to heal. You have to follow the directions the piercer gives you. Most places don't recommend trying to heal more than two or three piercings at a time.

I don't personally know about tongue, belly or nipples, but I have my clitoral hood pierced. An actual clitoral piercing is very rare, and is dangerous. You can risk major nerve damage, and total loss of sensation. The hood piercing is safe, and actual of all the piercings, the easiest to heal. It heals completely in about 6 weeks with proper care.

Hell yes it hurts. But the pain really only lasts for a few seconds. By the time you get off the table, the pain is completely gone. It's not like ear piercings or cartilidge piercings where you're sore for a week.

And yes, there are lots of girl piercers. And it's completely acceptable to request one. Most piercing shops have websites with profiles on their piercers. It's a good idea if you want a female piercer to find out when she's working before you go in.

They have tons of pictures.

No, it is not harmful. They all take varying times to heal and are usually not painful initially because a numbing spray is used. It (in the case of your tongue at least) will most likely start to hurt a day later. It won't be an extreme pain, more of an ache and you may not want to eat solid food or anything with very strong spices for 1-3 days. There are both male and female piercers, but the most important thing is that you find a qualified piercer, one who is very sanitary with their supplies, and that you keep all the piercings very clean and follow any other directions your piercer gives you until they heal. In the case of the belly button in particular, it can take several months, and that area is very prone to infection. I would recommend getting them done one at a time.

Don't listen to the people who tell you that you won't be able to get a job, the piercings can be taken out and a clear and very inconspicuous placeholder piercing can be put in if the area isn't healed yet. As a side note I got and held a job that paid nearly 20 dollars an hour when I had mine in, and it was a doorknocker (stud with a hoop)

Piercings are a fun way of expressing yourself and one that heals well if you decide you don't want it anymore, unlike tattoos, which are permanent and very painful to have removed. With a tattoo you should be extremely sure it's what you want, or I'd advise against getting it.

it's very safe with a qualified piercer, don't let a friend or some one just learning pierce you. nipples hmmmm i had to get mine redone by a woman. the guy that pierced the first didn't do a good job he marked them to far back, but I'm sure he just wasn't experienced enough. it's not painful, OK maybe for a nano second. by the time you open your mouth to say ouch, it's over.

The problem with a toungue piercing it that it can chip and crack your teeth, so dentists love this. More business for them.
Nipple piercing is initially painful, but some women enjoy it.

As to the clit, I have to pass on that one, as no woman I know has done that.

Labial, yes.

First of all my house cleaner (19) has her tongue pierced and you can always see it when she talks. She has her navel also pierced, along with labia lip. She told her grandfather that she had no feeling down there anyway, so why not. She had it done in all three places. First the piercing of the tongue. She was not able to get a job with that diamond sticking on her tongue. I heard she got a job at at "Car Title" rip off place with intrest exceding 36%. She explained how they do it.
We have a Honda plant neart me that starts out over $13.00 bucks per-hour, but until the diamond comes out of her tongue she will live on $5.35 per-hour with her boyfriends grandmother.
The way she explains it the tongue piercing is to turn on her boyfriend. This is about her fourth. I think God she has no children. On another note her boyfriend has two children by previous marriage, and does not have a car. I don't think she is afraid of me, but she has brought her boyfriend here the last two time she as cleaned. I want her here alone where I just maybe talk some sense into her. My son could hire him but I know nothing about him. So as far as monatary help goes, this will be up to her. Her grandfather cut her off.

Why? I don't know any guys that find all those piercings attractive, if not repulsive. Only ones that do apparently are well pierced themselves. While very small holes will close up, leaving only a small scar, larger ones caused by big rings or bolts or other stuff will never heal.
Just imagine you are your grandmother or great grandmother with those piercings.
They are harmful--easily infected, snagged, causes tearing of the skin.

nonetheless i'm a christian (nonetheless no longer a religious one in any respect), that pisses me off. some human beings positioned their relationships with God really, in any respect prices. it really is sometimes good, each and every so often undesirable, and on your case, both. understanding he replaced into so non secular, i do not imagine you need to have extra him into that. you need to've prevalent it ought to reason issues. nonetheless, I pity you. i imagine all you may do at this element is pass on. why on EARTH do you want to get piercings there? Nipples = OUCH! getting your belly button pierced is pointless if you want children...it will get all stretched out...and your tongue? wouldn't that interfere with eating? EW. You'd have to like...brush it to get all the food out of it. ew.
