How can I make my own custom stencils?

Question

We do temporary tattoos and I want to learn how to make unique custom stencils. What tool bedsides an exacto knife can be used? Is there a machine or program that makes it easier?

stencils? They only thing i think of when i read the question was to get some of that thermal image paper with the 3 sheets and run it through a thermal fax....thermal faxes run about $1,200.00 though and the paper runs about $5.00 for 10 sheets. hope this helped
