If this is html, add one of the following inside the tag:

align="center"

style="text-align:center;"

the style version is more XHTML compatible, the align is the more common way of doing it currently.

if you want to do it for the entire table, the best way is to use a style sheet:

select the table and in the menu bar select the center formatting.

in Excel go into Format Cell -> Aligment -> Text Alignment.

You can center it Horizontal and/or Vertical.
