i have an image file i downloaded of the internet, but when i came to delete it nothing happens, it won't even drag into the recycle bin, any ideas how to get rid of it?

Try re booting or control panel add and remove or rick click and see in properties or rename and delete if not you will not be able to do so good luck with this..

Yes, Its most likely that it is still being used by another program. Very common error.

Try closing all programs, like for example if you downloaded off an p2p client.

or reboot and try to delete.

this sounds like it might have a virus attached. try to break down the pic by right click, properties and see where it is/title. then click search, type in the name of the pic, when it finds it, delete from the search. good luck.

That's wierd because 2 days ago I had the same prob. I tried twice to delete and finally blew it off. Help people!

Restart windows in safemode and try deleting again. It will go.

right click on it go to properties - security tab and check full control then delete
