The ammonia that goldfish excrete will kill the snails. That being said aslong as you do regular partial waterchanges, snails do a good job cleaning up algae and excess fish food however snails themselves poop alot too.

Yep! =) I have a 10gal aquarium full of goldfish and 2 snails, which do a great job with the algae, and are fun to watch!

Put big ones in, bigger than the goldfishes mouth or they will just eat them. They are a great addition to a tank as they clean up a lot of waste and keep the glass clear.

they will be fine... snails also keep tank glass clean only problem is when a snail dies....its like a dead jelly fish

snails breed WAY to fast and WAY to much. Even if you have one they will have babies. That happened to me before. I say get an algae eater, or something else. Eventually too many wil kill your fish.
