Should I put snails in the same tank with my goldfish?

The ammonia that goldfish excrete will kill the snails. That being said aslong as you do regular partial waterchanges, snails do a good job cleaning up algae and excess fish food however snails themselves poop alot too.

Yep! =) I have a 10gal aquarium full of goldfish and 2 snails, which do a great job with the algae, and are fun to watch!

Put big ones in, bigger than the goldfishes mouth or they will just eat them. They are a great addition to a tank as they clean up a lot of waste and keep the glass clear.

snails breed WAY to fast and WAY to much. Even if you have one they will have babies. That happened to me before. I say get an algae eater, or something else. Eventually too many wil kill your fish.
