What you refer to as gullibility is simply human nature. We instinctively believe what we are told, unless there is evidience to the contrary.

We also sometimes like to be lied to. The reality is that people WANT to believe what sounds best. Such as in advertising: we can be thinner, richer, more appealing to the opposite sex. This carries to all facets of life. We want these things to be true so when we hear things we think is appealing, we are more likely to believe it.

Maybe they are Gullible not Gullable. Is that something to do with birds?

Maybe some are and maybe some aren't but they know were to put the 'i' in GULLABLE, unlike you.
