It just never ceases to amaze me. how can ANYONE come to the conclusion that Bush had a better 1st term? ahaha. It reminds me of that book series "left behind" where the new "King of the UN" guy mesmerizes everyone into seeing him as a great man ...by the power of suggestion.

Clinton...because while he was in office, the economy was great. He focused on making our country better in its self, while Bush has done nothing but start fights. I'm a texan, and I know first hand that this place is full of rednecks, and GW is one of them. All he wanted to do was go out and kick someone's @$$, and he did, but how did that help us? My husband is in the army, and my family and I have had to suffer from the beginning of all of this, because the economy was bad, that's why he went in the army, and then he had to go to war, all because of this bastard we call our president.

President Clinton didn't face what President Bush faced on September 11th.

I'm no Democrat, but I have to say that I like Clinton. He's from Arkansas, so that's part of it. Also, his personal life was none of anyone's business. He just got caught doing what every other president has done (for the most part).

I'm not sure it's an easy question to answer. Clinton came in with the promise of spending the peace dividend on social programs because the cold war was over. Bush came in and eight months later the 911 attacks happened. Clinton came in and raised taxes. Bush came in and cut taxes. Clinton came in and kept the economy going for his first term. Bush had to deal with the economic trouble from 911. Different eras, different circumstances.

OMG! You people are so brainwashed. Bush has destroyed our economy, our privacy, our safety, and thousands of American lives for NOTHING!!! and still you support him! People like you are going to be the reason the *ucking anti-Christ comes to power. Clinton did nothing but good for this country. All the plans he put in place, Bush has somehow undermined them. So what he got some young stuff on the side. Are you that naive to think that Presidents in the past haven't committed adultery? Bush himself has probably gotten a little extra, he just didn't get caught. That was the only bad thing you can say about Clinton so you idiot conservatives just continue to hold onto it. All of you suck and have contributed to the ruin of this country.

Clinton, by far. Bush's approval ratings peaked around 9/11 until he squandered the world's goodwill along with the unity we felt as americans at that time. He topped that off by misleading the nation into an illegal occupation of a soveriegn country.

And what exactly did Clinton accomplish in his first term? Maybe Johhny Chung knows something....

BUSH, Clinton was handed an economic upturn and then the tech boom dropped squarely in his lap through no efforts of his administration and no, algore did not invent the internet so that doesn't count. By the time Slick let the door hit him on the a$$ on his way out he had just about ruined the economy so Wall Street was a bunch of sitting ducks when your precious islamofascists decided use commercial airliners as weapons of mass destruction. Oh, but whatever you do, don't keep them awake for 36 hours at a time to get them to talk about their terror buddies, that's TORTURE!

Clinton ignored the terroists after the 1993 attack on The World Trade Center, which ultimately led to 9/11.

Bush is the answer.

Assuming Bush won the first time?

Um, last I checked, Bush did win. Senior only had one term numbnut. Dubbleyah has had two.

As for Clinton, he was one of the worst presidents I've seen in my lifetime. More jobs went outside the country thanks to Slick Willy than any other president. When you move on out of your parents house, you'll see what I mean. Actually, forget that. Ask any IT professional how much they love all the outsourcing in business these days. It's Slick Willy who signed the papers that made it possible for companies to move their jobs to India. NAFTA was also a big boot shoved up our butts too, allowing many companies such as Stanley Bostich, to relocate into Mexico nearly overnight!

Man, when some of you kids who think Bush is so evil get out into the real world, think about Slick Willy, and thank him because he single-handedly screwed our employment rate over so bad you high school kids will still feel it when you get out of college.

Also, just to add, only one guy on this thread seemed to realize, Bush Sr had to fix the problems caused by Reagan, Clinton had to fix Bush Sr. (was not much work to do there), and now Dubbleyah has Clinton's mess to take care of in addition to the mess he makes.

I think Clinton because he tried to open things up for all of us and wanted to start something new. It was the first time the Dems got into the WH after many years and he must've wanted to strengthen that. Clinton introduced the NAFTA, he raised taxes on the very rich and tried to be moderate in his own way.
