First of all, try not to panic. Chances are that your body is just still getting used to the birth control. For several months you can get spotting and leaks, and sometimes even bleeding that lasts as long as and sometimes longer than a normal period. I would consult the doctor that prescribed the birth control though, just in case or anything more serious. Sometimes when women take too much over the counter pain relievers (such as Tylenol, Aleve or Advil) while taking birth control they can have problems like these. I hope that helped, and I hope things straighten out for you.

This is normal for the first two-three months. Common side effects for the first few months of use include break through bleeding (what you are having now) nausea/vomiting, fatigue, dizziness, and many many more. However after taking it for a few months your body adjusts to the new levels of hormones and it should stop. If after your third pack this doesn't stop you should call your doctor and switch to something else. Some women have to try several types of b/c pills to find one that wont cause breakthrough bleeding

Really.. panicy people.. do they ever read the warning panflit..
It is normal while taking birth control, even to miss a period or have a unusually long one during the first year.. I would call your doctor and ask for advice. But don't stop taking it until he/she says so, or offers a replacement. It is just your body adjusting to the change in hormones..

Ok.
First off I don't know if you are having unprotected sex or not ( unprotected just means while on birth control, but no other method)
But if you are having this bad of problems maybe you need a different kind of BC pill.
I certainly would contact the OBGYN
Use a back up birth control method
And go from there.

This pill might not work for you. I had to try three different ones until I found one that worked. Talk to your doctor about it but they usually want you to try it for three months before trying another one. Please do not worry I had a pill I tried where I bleed three weeks out of four. Good luck.

Ok seriously you have to talk to your gyno..........it is ok to spot a little but I don't think what you've explained is normal. If you are taking the patch or the nuvo ring don't because I took the patch and it is harmful to your health. If you're on the pill that's better.

Sometimes it takes about 6 months for your system to have a regular menstrual cycle. If you are really scared though, contact your gyno.
