I'll start with the left side. (6x+36/6x) Lets take out 6 and (1/x), making:
(6)(1/x)(x+6/6). Obviously the 6's cancel out.
Next, the right bit. Lets factor the bottom chunk giving:
(x^2)/[(x+6)(x-6)]
Now I'll put both parts together.
(1/x)(x+6)(x^2)[1/(x+6)(x-6)]
the (1/x) cancels and so does the (x+6)
