i can only write rap songs when i have that feeling. when i dont i can hardly write a line. i want to know how i can keep this feeling always in me

Don't feel bad because most people are that way. I don't even write unless I am "in the zone", because otherwise my lyrical content turns out to be substandard.
To become inspired, I usually listen to my favorite rapper's (Nas) deepest songs, reflect on the world around me, and wait until I feel depressed (that usually inspires me to take out my frustrations with a pen and pad.)

I wish i could write rap lyrics. but anyways....listen to rap. or hiphop. thats key. I know when i am listening to punk or Emo i tend to write more depressive. you get in that mood with the music. So if you want hiphop/rap..listen to it..and let it flow baby. and btw how old are you?

look inside yourself. what are you thinking about when you are in the mood to write? usually that is the key to writing really good spits. when i write poetry i just think of either something that makes me sad or makes me really angry and that helps me write. because when i'm in a good mood i cant write for shyt!
