im so sick of people callin iverson a ballhog and sayin he doesnt care about his team. he has taken both kyle korver and iguodala under his wing, and he AVERAGED OVER 7 ASSISTS! how many ballhogs do that? he misses practice because he views it as irrelevant, while he probably should be at practice, who am i to judge him? he is my favorite player in the league today, and the best point guard. i think he is hated on because of his "ghetto" personality and the people who vote on the MVP want an "upstanding" player like steve nash. iverson almost tripled how many points nash averaged, and iverson still got like 5 less assists than him, so iverson was more of a positive influnce to his team, but he wasnt even considered for MVP. And for the person sayin people like him are the reason we lost to greece... newsflash... you mentioned that we dont have players like michael jordan anymore.. thats because michael jordan is who inspired the players today... if we had so many athletes that were as good as jordan, what would make jordan special? he was the best player ever, you cant expect to make a whole team that good.

Because he's an typical undecipline American. We have the best players in this country and yet we lost to the Greeks yesterday while we should be blowing out other countries at least 20 points or more like the dream team did with Micheal Jorday on it. The point is that we as Americans lack respect for our instructors/coaches. You hear stories of players getting into scuffles with coaches all the time. Where as in other countries they have respect for their authorities and teachers that's why they are more discipline and play better as a team. So it's the mentality of most Americans that makes other countries dislike us also. It's big time Ego and lack of respect.

first off by living in philly and being a die hard iverson fan 1-he doesn't talk like that and 2-what more more can you say he's the only one that scores and is an all star the orgnization is too damn cheap to get him some help (hello kg) but anyhoo once we shell out money and get some help maybe things will be better i mean come on micheal jordan never got asked this stupid *** question and he never went to practice so what makes iverson so diffrent so everyone needs to fallback and leave iverson alone

Because he has the "Give me the ball " mentatlity. It doesnt' matter what his teammates do, just block for me, pass to me, and get out of my way while I shoot. Just last year he complained that as a starter he wouldn't sit on the bench. That just shows that he thinks he's better than anyone else on his team. That is the big reason they have never gone farther than their championship loss and have been on a downward spiral since. This is also the reason he will be hard to trade to any current championship caliber team. Remember there is no A. I. in team.

he doesnt practice because he's selfish. he doest understand that without the team he is nothing. this is exactly why he still hasn't a championship.
alone you are just a vine ,but together,
as a team you arestrong rope.

Who WANTS to go to work in the morning? Even if we love our jobs, work is work. And sure, he practices but many people have skipped a day of work or called in sick.
But deadlines are deadlines and he always makes his deadline.
