Why do most racists tend to be conservative Republicans?

I've noticed that most racists tend to be conservative republicans.

I know that i'm going to get a bunch of questions like "Why are all democrats.......?". You all know this statement is true!

I don't think your blanket statement is necessarily true for several reasons(although there may some truth in it):

(1) Many Southern racists who are in the KKK and other similiar groups are still members of the Democratic party(in which they were a mainstay pre-1960's). Other hard-core racists also tend to take the opinion that the GOP and the Democrats stand for the same thing- in much the same way that many hard-leftists(such as Nader) believe that the two party system is useless.
(2) You discount the fact that many minority groups themselves have a large amount of racists (ie blacks who are as adamantly opposed to interracial dating as hard core racist whites).
(3) There is a third group of racist which no one talks about- the liberal racist who thinks that blacks, latinos, etc need to patronized like children. They may not say so publicly or out loud, but many of these(and I do know some personally) think blacks are inferior.
(4) There is a certain anti-Semitic element which has cropped up in the Democratic party in the past 10-15 years.

Actually, by far, the demonstably racist people in this country are all democrats or non-affiliated leftists. They get this from the works of Marx, who was incredibly racist against jews, blacks and hispanics to the point of advocating their genocide (this is where Hitler got the idea from....as did Stalin, Mao, Castro and many others).

Leftists hate...blacks, hispanics, gays etc. They spend alot of rhetoric trying to paint the republicans this way but their behavior speaks volumes.

While the Bush administration is putting blacks and hispanics in positions of real power and championing their issues, the dems are making racist attacks against black republican candidates, attending birthday parties for former heads of the Klan (Clinton), making jokes about how the only black people allowed at the meeting are those serving coffee (Dean) and defending those leftist fruitloops who bring the "God Hates Fags" signs to military funerals (ACLU).

Quack all you want with your lies and bullshit. Your BEHAVIOR is there for all to see. Every time you say something like this and then your behavior reveals YOU to be the actual racists, large numbers of people permanently turn against you.

When the Democratic party picked up the banner of civil rights, the Southern Democrats (Dixiecrats) all became Republicans, except Zell Miller, but he is nuts anyway.

It roots back to the civil war and segregation.

During that time, the north east states had already matured enough to give up slaves. The south havn't.

Because of the sudden impact of the loss of slaves, the south never really learned about acceptance.

Would you call it racism to turn hoses on black people to keep them from voting? That was DEMOCRATS. The Republicans overrode Democrat President Andrew Johnson’s veto of law granting voting rights to African-Americans in D.C.

Would you call it racism to politically rally for slavery? That was DEMOCRATS. The Republicans brought forth the Amendment to abolish slavery.

Actually, liberals are as racist as anyone; especially if they back Affirmative Action, which entrenches the idea of inherent racial disparaties into society and makes it virtually impossible to view whites and blacks completely on a "par". (Well, if blacks need a boost, they must not be capable of earning X, Y or Z on their own, right?)
