Its not a big surprise. If IT IS for you, then a feel sorry for you. Wake up!!, the US is not invincible anymore, not now, but since a decade or so.
Who is the current world champion??? Not USA but Serbia. USA didnt even play the final.
Who is the current Olympic champion??? Not USA, again, but Argentina. And again, USA didnt even play the final.
Who will win the World Championship this time???Again, not USA, but Spain (it's gonna be!!!!) or Greece. And again, USA won't even play the final.
USA the best team??? I think its time you start proving that youre in fact the best in the world.
Honestly, your tactical display is very poor, and if USA wants to win anything in the future you'll need to improve a lot that part of the game. Otherwise, history will repeat itself, no matter which NBA players you choose for your national team.

Any of our international loses over the last 10 years or so could be called our worst moment ever...this one wasn't any worse than the others.
It just shows how poor the quality of NBA players really is... Yeah, the rest of the world is getting better, that's true...but if our guys would get better too, it wouldn't matter what the rest of the world did...But our guys are getting worse.
Just more proof that the quality of NBA players is a huge step down from 20 years ago.

It would be the worst moment in American basketball history if we got blown out in our very first match.
The Greeks played a great game, and deserve the win.
I just hope they take the whole darned thing!

this team was average.
a couple of good guards and average players.....
if shaq, garnette, kobe, wade, carter, jamison, played. real strong players,,,... there wouldnt be a close game... but the great players dont all want to play....
and they had a DIK Head coach coaching this year.... coach K,,,

No it would have be if it was a blow out game, and we went out on da court not trying to play, so people need to stop pressing about it, it was only a six point defeat, and USA is still the best team in my book and always will be.

if you win this FIBA tourney, you get a free pass to the olympics... now the USA is going to have to play qualifing rounds to get into the olympics (which won't be an issue)
