I`m interested to know ( mainly from non-S`Africans) which South African singers/groups they know.

Mandoza and TKZee are my favorites, but I have lots of other music from SA that I like. Miriam Makeba, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Johnny Clegg, Brenda Fassie all have a special place on my mp3 player.

At the moment Steve Hofmeyer is by far the best- I am South African and stay in Cape Town.

I am South African but my life partner is from the USA, and he says: Miriam Makeba since he was a child, Savuka/Jaluka, Mango Groove, Hugh Masakela since he was a child.
Since meeting me 5 years ago, he is better educated about SA music and can list many more. But those above he knew before his first trip to SA in 2001.
