Rest the bone (Rest Ice Compression Elevation)
Quit smoking
Drink plenty of water
Eat your greens and your red meat - or have iron supplements
Take some pain relief (eg paracetamol = acetaminophen)
If it is near the skin (like on the front of the shin), you might find that a heparinoid cream (eg hirudoid) may help

Yah you can but its painful as hell, but if you really want to heal it bad enough you will do this. Ok what makes bone bruises are calcium deposits that get there pbviously from trauma, a hard hit etc. Heres the thing calcium deposits cant obviously seep into your bones but they build on the outside of the bone. Have someone or yourself take there knuckles and push on the spot that is bruised and go up and down that spot, you are better off with knuckles trust me. You are gonna notice your skin will bruise more but it will make your bone bruise all but almost disappear and it makes your bones stronger on top of it. Try it I promise you it will work do it for about 35 minutes.

Because of the kind of work he does, my husband brusies the bones of his fingers constantly. He swears that if he wraps them in First Aid tape, the bruise heals in about 2 days. If he doesn't, about 4 days.

i don't think you can.
bruises of the bone can take a long time to heal. i'd say the best thing to do would be symptomatic relief---like advil or tylenol or compresses. and then just wait for the bone to heal.
