Nose hair, eyelashes, eyebrows, they are all their to protect you, they catch dust, and other fine particles, I guess you can say they are kinda like the bodies filtration system, without these we would have all kinds of things sucking down our sinuses, and floating in our eyes.
I don't mind the nose hairs as long as people keep them neat and trimmed, no need for the nose hair touching the upper lip, that's just NASTY!!!

its part of the filtration system your body uses to breathe clean air.

the hairs inside the nose capture dust, dirt, bugs, etc. mucous secretions then coat the stuff and that's where boogers come from.

from the nose on down to the bronchial tubes the inside of the airways are coated with a sticky layer of mucous that is continually replenished. it acts as a sticky flypaper to trap more dust and dirt.

the final filtration system is inside the bronchial tubes---it is a system of small hairs called cilia. the cilia further clean the air before it passes into the lungs.

the hairs act as a filter and keep dust and dirt out of the nasal passages, and strongly stimulate pain nerves if pulled out. They also help to maintain humidity in the air passages by trapping humidity as one exhales, while evaporation of trapped moisture on the hairs humidifies inhaled air.

The nasal hair acts as a filter to keep dust and dirt out of the nasal passages.

If you didnt have nasal hair, you'd probably be sick of something every week.
