I broke up with my boyfriend well anyway we ahve been together for 1yr. yesturday was his birthday and I got him a cake and a teddy Bear that matched mine and like all he did was say thank you and then hang out with your friends...this is kinda different cause we have been trying to get back together but this morning i went over there to ask him out cause hes always saying he wants me back but when I asked him he said NO and that he wants to keep talking to me but not go back into dating...i don't understand the other day he was saying all this stuff that he wanted me back and everything and now he doesn't what does this mean?

He is toying with you like a yo-yo. I can not say if this being done intentionally or not, but it is being done none the less.
In my humble opinion and if I were you, I would start going out with other guys until he grows up and decides what it is he wants. Do not let him treat you like this, don't waste your breath or your energy by confronting him. Take action. I am sure you are a beautiful young woman who would have no troubles at all finding a more sincere and serious young man with whom to affiliate yourself.
Remember, life is much to short to put up with this non-sense. So don't. You will find out quicker than any other way how he really feels when you take this kind of action.

Remember you are the one that broke up with him, so why do you want him back? You really have to ask your self that question! Maybe he do sent want to get back with you because he might be afraid you'll do the same thing. I think it's best for you to stay as friends!!! If you guys get along great as friends live it as is. If someday you get back together it's because its meant to be. Don't worry so much!!! Everything will be o.k it's not the end of the world.....

He is not treating you with much respect or acting like he cares about you. He is leading you on.
Sometimes people keep their exes hanging around because they like the attention.
Maybe you should take a break from seeing him for a while even as friends for a while and then you can both see what you really want.
Maybe you will find another nice guy who will want to go out with you properly.

Take it form a guy...Move on. Stop haning out with this guy. You're young. You need new circles to find new boys. Better ones that is. Ones that will give you the attention, respect, blah, blah, blah that you deserve. You find the best guy when you're not looking for him...so go out and do things you truly like to do. He'll be there. You just can't look for him. Let him find you.

Sounds like he may want it but on his terms. You are not being the typical female in trying to court him back. Most males have to get the ball to make thins work. Try taking it a few notches down and see of he doesn't take it a few up.

He has decided that he just wants to be friends......... he changed his mind and wants to move on and get past this with you. If you can't be his friend, then move on......... otherwise be his friend and don't look at him as anything more........ your young and really you should have said no to getting back together anyway. It just means that he is still confused. Just give him some more time to figure out what he really wants. The best hing you can give him is space. If he still loves you, he will come back to you.

Sometimes people tell you things like that to make sure you are on hold. They don't want no one to have you, but want you to wait for them. Don't do it, don't let anyone dangle you by a string. Move on and find someone that will appreciate you and treat you like a queen.
