Support for the truth of evolution is happening every day. Furthermore, scientists have started publishing confirmatory evidence of real evolution in certain species that has happened over the past several decades. This kind of research, which also uses Gene Sequencing Methods, provides much stronger support for the theory of evolution while developing information about the nature of the evolution process.

The word evolution does refer to development or change and yes the theory postulates that evolution is continuing but the process of change or adaptation is multi-generational which is not noticeable. Of course there was that moth in Birmingham England that had chosen a white barked tree for it's habitat.Due to the industrial development in the area the trees turned dark gray. This of course exposed the white moth to its predators. Botanists noticed that the white coat moth disappeared and a darker coloured variety became dominant. We have no idea what change or development is next. The animal that will take over the world maybe unnoticed after all the theory points out that the best suited animal will survive and that may not be the largest or smartest. It maybe the one who can run fastest to the smallest hole.

If you mean with respect to humans, probably not much more. Evolution is a response to the natural environment. Mankind has essentially removed itself from nature in most civilizations. Thus, if any signficicant evolution occurred in the human race in the modern era, it would most likely manifest in a non-technological society such as the Yanomamo, and would probably be an adaptation for greater durability.
Among many kinds of animals, plants, and bacteria, evolution is an ogoing process. Several types of bacteria, in particular, have become immune to the drugs that were successfully used to tream them just a few decades ago.

If you mean the scientific fields that deal with evolution, a lot of exciting research is being done on the way DNA works and the effects and causes of speciation. Fossil discovery is an exciting field right now, because regions of the earth previously unavailable to researchers are being opened up (such as rural China and Russia).

Development or change in what exactly? What species or what are you talking about? I know what evolution is, but your question needs to be more specific. And we cannot create evolution, if that is what you mean...it happens over thousands of years.
By the way, China, by them only allowing one couple to have one child are prohibiting evolution! They will suffer in the long run...

its time to cull the herd.
this planet is over populated to the point that the ecosystem can no longer support let alone regenerate itself.
The clues are in the news, it is your choice to deny they exist. Because you will live out a normal life, but what about your children, the future we made for them is at best - rather bleak.
is that really fair?
Go on chasing your wild geese, living in denial.
