My favourite date was an all day one. Out of town, apple picking, cider tasting, a really nice dinner, a nice walk afterwards, and then home. It really created a good environment to get to know one another.
It's hard to recommend something because likely your date has different tastes from me. I like to try original cuisines, intimate restaurants off the beaten path, checking out antique stores, I really like exploring new places. Frisbee in the park with a picnic?
I hope this helps.

Try the Arcade, putt-putt golf, bowling, museums are good. The main thing is to pick an event you both can enjoy. I agree with the movie thing being an out, especially for a first date.

go to anmusment park like six flags or something. those are always fun. or how bout a football game, or something that tourists come to your city to do - depends on your city. my friend that i'm on the phone w/ right now says go to the shooting range - thats unique. I think the point is to have fun first because if you can have fun together than it'll be easier to transition to a more intimate times later.

I think a nature date would be awesome - a walk on a nature trail, holding hands maybe, then a picnic in the quiteness of the surroundings.... birds chirping..... squirrels chattering.... lots of time to talk and get to know one another. One thing though, be sure to enlighten her as to what she should wear... it would be terrible to put on a dress and heels and show up for a nature walk!

First..
You must find a girl that will go out with you...
Second...
Ask her if there is anyplace she would like to go or to do...
She already knows you are asking her out to be with her...
Failing that, dinner at a nice restaurant is always a good start...
Make it an evening at a dinner theatre....

bowling, have a party, picnic, beach, fun shopping, take pics and then print them after dinner, mini golf, "game night" invite some other couples over, etc. etc.

Do you have $$$ ? Then go sailing, or hot air ballooning, mini cruises, chopper sight seeing.
